Xochicalli Commerce

Xochicalli Commerce is the online store I engineered for a Mexican plant and gardening business that had only ever sold on site. The goal was a full transition: catalog, checkout, and order management, without losing the personal feel of the physical shop.

From counter to catalog

The shop sold plants, pots, fertilizers, and gardening materials in person. Moving online meant modeling a live inventory, photographing and describing every product, and building a purchase flow the owners could run themselves without a developer on call.

What I built

• A storefront with product categories, search, and detail pages
• Cart and checkout flow adapted to how Mexican customers actually pay
• An admin panel where the owners manage products, stock, and orders
• Order tracking so in-store pickup and delivery could coexist

The outcome

The business went from on-site-only sales to a working online channel, and the owners operate the store day to day on their own. It remains one of the projects I point to when explaining that shipping for real users, with real inventory and real payments, teaches more than any side project.
